It isn't easy, however, to get these refugee relatives and friends into Canada, even though the families and the African community stand ready to support and resettle them when they do. They have to deal first with Canada's difficult immigration laws and policies. Canada allows the private sponsoring of refugees for resettlement here. It is the only country that does.
