Deportation looms for woman, daughter
Claims she faces stigma in China for being unwed mom of Canadian girl

Travel documents are being prepared by immigration officials to deport Scarborough single mom Kelly Wang to China with her young Canadian-born daughter.

Wang, 29, mom of 2 1/2-year-old Tanya, filed an appeal to stay in Canada last week on humanitarian and compassionate grounds, claiming she’ll be persecuted if deported to China for being an “unwed mother.”

The graphic designer arrived here as a refugee claimant in 2004 and lost her appeals in 2007.
