OTTAWA, ONTARIO, Mar 23, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- National consultations on the redesign of Canada's parent and grandparent (PGP) immigration program were launched today by Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney.

Ottawa is considering giving top priority to single parents who have all their children in Canada.

That is one option under review by Immigration Minister Jason Kenney as he launched his national consultations to redesign the program that reunites parents and grandparents with their families in Canada.
